Hey all, here a peak at the new Yoder Pellet smoker that is currently being tested. Andy Gronemon (Smoke on Wheels) cooked in competition this last weekend and did quite well with it. Not bad for it's first run.
Sorry for the blurry pics, I will get high quality shots sent to me soon and will post them. i hope to get some video as well.

Andy Gronemon and the Smoke On Wheels BBQ Team competed in Great Bend, KS yesterday at “Winter Q”. Present were 59 teams and a number of them were top 20 out of 5,000+ teams in 2011. Andy turned his ribs and chicken in off of his YS480 Comp Cart. He placed 1st in ribs with a perfect 180. He turned his pork and brisket in off of the new 24” x 36” Comp unit. He took 7th in pork and 20-something in brisket, but it doesn’t end there.
This competition also features the Chest-to-Chest Brisket Invitational. This is a standalone competition that is not connected to the 4 meat KCBS event. You pay your fee, turn in your box and then they judge a qualifying round to determine the top 12. Andy was in the top 12, when the smoke settled he took 1st, earned the big payout and did it on the maiden voyage of the 24” x 36” pellet pit, whatever we are going to call it.
