I want to name him Smokey

One of the buffalo had twins and Mama only accepted one of them (happens every now and then). So now I guess we will all be bottle feeding !!!
I am thinking we sholuld name him Smoky; the last bottle fed was Nick (alias - burger).

grew up on a farm battle feeding calves before and after school. Hard job when there are 20-30 of them and only 2 bottles.

I would name him, "Easter Brisket".

Moss, great looking calf there. We thought about switching over some of our herd to bison, but the front end costs are awful high. What kind of containment you use on the pasture?

Dan I hear ya. I have never had to feed more than 10, but that was plenty of work there. We also only have 2 or 3 bottles on hand at a time. This spring we have been lucky. All the mommas love the calves and producing milk just fine. "Easter Brisket" -- I like it. Bison though, they tend to be bad A*#'s so maybe something like tank.
