Can anyone tell me what the true id is on a weber 22 1/2" lid. I think I have a odd diameter barrel. Thanks.

Just measured mine . . . looks like 22-3/4" edge to edge.

Most rolled lip barrels are a bit too wide at the top for a Weber lid. Hence the need for modification of the drum or the lid.

Seems most fit the bottom though.

I use the bottom of the drum as the top but still have bend out the flange of the Weber lid to fit. After a few cooks it seals up good enough.
