That is pretty cool. I use a hand press when I do burgers. Same concept but that's much easier and faster.

Wow, $60 and only one size of patty. My preferred patties are about 5 1/2" in diameter and 5 oz. - giving me 16 burgers per 5 lbs of meat. If in a hurry for just a few, I'll form them by hand, otherwise, I have a unique way of making them.

After integrating my spices, I roll the meat out to the desired thickness on a cutting board. Then, using a large can, I cut them out like cookies. All identical, no mess. I then gather the remaining meat and repeat. I freeze them individually and then keep them in sealed bags for later use. It takes a little longer than the attachment, but not much, and it is $60 cheaper.

60 bux ain't much when ya save an hour doing 200 patties. Not to mention the cold, aching hand syndrome, like mixing sausage. I do them by hand of course... and it hurts at a couple dozen.

I think I saw that in Cabela's catalog. Maybe a bit different, same principle. Nice to see it in operation.
