  • Trinidad Scorpion Butch T Peppers

    got my seeds to grow me some Trinidad Scorpion Butch T Peppers, will start them tomorrow. Topping the Scoville Scale at 1,500,000 whooooohooooo

      me and a friend from work split the pack of seeds, think I may add 1 to my homemade hot sauce I make at the end of the pepper season. I also make a Pepper relish and of course chilli hehehe

                  The Trinidad Scorpion Butch T pepper is so strong that those who handle it must wear protective gloves. Exposure to the eyes or skin near the eyes when handling this pepper could cause temporary blindness. While preparing the Butch T, one should wear a chemical mask or a body suit to defend against fumes given off in the cooking process.[7]

                    Be sure you keep the heat a little higher on them for germination and careful with the watering, assuming they are finicky like bhuts are (since they are desert plants).

                            We've grown bhuts for last few years, I order them as plants from Cross Country nurseries out of New Jersey. If they are similar, they will be a very late season pepper. The first year we grew the bhuts we of course did the here try this pepper kind of thing. I was cutting these tiny little slivers of the pepper, like 1/4 or 1/2 of the size of a pencil eraser. It was still too much. One guy got a bloody nose!

                            Now we give a bunch to a local restaurant that uses them in their suicide wing sauce. Another friend will throw half a pepper in a gallon jug of either green tomatoes or pickles.

                              You guys are nuts. I can't think of any good reason that I would ever want to use that hot of a pepper. Well other then to maybe torture someones taste buds. haha
                              Or maybe I should say burn off someones taste buds.
