Bought a pair a while back & thought I would give y'all me thoughts..... For the price ($11.99 from Amazon) they are a great buy. I had always used bbq tongs, sliding meat onto a cutting board & other kinds of hillbilly methods of moving meat from one area to the other, or even rotating stuff inside the smoker..... None of which really worked that great

So these things make life so much easier around the smoker or grill.... They work excellent & I would recommend them if you are needing something like this..... The only thing I didn't like aboot them is that they are really slippery & that has not been a problemn with moving hunks of meat around, but they are kinda hard to get off the hands.... Meaning when I grab a finger to try to pull a glove off, they are so slick I've had to use me teeth a few times cause I could not get a grip with me fingers :noidea:

I'd give em 4.5 outta 5 stars (only because they are so slick..... seems they could add some texture to the finger tips to make them easier to take off)...

Bought 'em last Summer. Agree with your thoughts, slippery as all hell but they DO work when pulling large pieces of meat off the smoker. I'm not sorry I bought them, I just take a roll of paper towels with me to keep my sanity.

I have those. I put a very large pair of cheap work gloves over them. Problem solved(at least for me).

We got one of those Ron Popeil Showtime Rotisseries when I got married. It came with a very similar pair of gloves. The only thing I still use from that are the gloves. I like my $120 version very much. At $12, I'd love 'em even more!

I bought a pair of blue gloves that were similar, but they have a little texture on the fingers, and are not too bad. The only thing is they still get really hot when pulling more than 5 or 6 butts at one time, or cutting and handling a bunch of ribs at once.

I may try a couple pairs of those this year, to see if they give a little more thermal protection to the hands?

A little late with a response, butt yeah, I have a similar pair and had the same problem. Paper towels. Either that or a hand grenade.

Yup they should throw some texture to em and they would be much better ...I have the white pair ( soooo much cooler).... they do handle the heat well
