Seeings how it's Hockey Playoff time I thought this was kind of appropriate!!!

    A little known fact....

The first testicular guard "Cup" was used in Hockey in 1874 and the first helmet was used in 1974.

It took 100 years for men to realize that the brain is also important.

I'd say that's about right. In terms of importance anyway.

              Amen to that, brother.

My 10 year old son is catching from time to time on his Little League team this year. He was complaining about how uncomfortable the cup was. I asked him which he thought would bother him more, wearing the cup, or getting hit in the sack by a baseball without the cup.

He wears the cup with no complaints now.

YIKES!! Yeah, that's a "one time teach" kind of thing. It's difficult to convince the youngsters what a . . . um . . . religious experience that can be if they've never had it happen. But once it happens . . . then they understand. Talk about enlightenment.

The ONE TIME that I forgot my nut cup (catching in Little League) of course, I caught a fast ball in the nuts. THANK GOD it careened off my thigh first or I'd have probably died. A direct hit from Steve's fast ball probably would have ended my family hopes had I survived. I had a brand new mitt (Jeff Torborg Model) and my hand would swell for 2-3 days after catching from that kid. All he had was a fastball. Nobody could hit him. If somebody accidentally got the bat in the way of the ball it was an automatic HR.

Anyway, long story, but wear your nut cup.
