Hey all! I just joined the forum yesterday, but I already saw something that I had to try. I have never had lox before, but Aardvark's tutorial on how to make it was so simple I had to try. I picked up two ~1.25# filet sections and skinned them. I followed Aardvark's tutorial and rubbed them with salt, sugar and dill, let them sit for 12 hours, rinsed, dried, and cold smoked for 5 hours using my AMNPS with oak, cherry, maple and apple pellets. It turned out great! I couldn't wait for morning. I had to try some on a bagel with cream cheese! I attached the pics! Thanks for looking!
