  • Apple Pie on the Yoder

After tackling a cake on the Yoder , I decided to try a pie. Now, I never baked a pie before. So, I bought the frozen pie crust and slapped the ingredients together and filled the pie. Put the pies on the Yoder at 325 and let it go till brown and delicious. BBQr's Delight Apple pellets were fueling the fire and it was a perfect combo. After sampling the pie, you can taste the apple wood smoke, it added a great layer of flavor. I'll be doing this again.

Apple Pie is always good but off a wood fired pit it is out of the park. Nice job.

Looks good to me buddy! The trick is a clean grill when baking pastries or breads on these things, or you will get flavor cross over.
