So I haven't been on much lately. Too much going on around here with school getting out and vacation, etc. Anyway, I just got back from camping and caught some Brookies. I think I have 9. I gutted them and pt them on ice. They are in the fridge now. The fish with the heads on are around 12-13 inches. Not too big. I was thinking of smoking them whole but have never smoked fish. Looking online elsewhere and here, there are tons of suggestions. I was hoping to get some advice in this thread. Some say brine, some say don't. Some smoke whole, most seem to butterfly or fillet but these fish are on the small side so I am leaning towards not filleting them.
