  • Pizza - it's what's for breakfast

Everyone loves pizza for breakfast so I decided instead of eating leftover pizza lets make one and add an egg too - so I threw in a couple of night logs to hold the temp up overnight and got up in the morning and threw a small one on to get the temps back to about 650

You make a regular pizza (personal size) with canadian bacon, sausage, spinach and sauce and cook for 1 min at 650 then pull out of the oven and add an egg, parmesan cheese, salt and pepper then return to the oven for about 2 minutes to cook the egg.

Man this was good. Sorry for the blurry iphone pic

If you are trying this with your home oven you can cook it for 3-4 min both sessions and get pretty close to this result.

The key to pizza in the home oven is to put the stone on the floor of the oven and let it heat at your top oven temp for about an hour - move a rack from your oven down to the lowest setting and stick a couple of sheet pans on top to form an oven within the oven. Helps cook a lot faster and hotter.

    Thanks for looking

Very nice Sir, very nice! I myself could also handle pizza anytime of the day, the fact that you made a breakfast one really has got me thinking. Superb post for sure.

That is a killer pizza/ breakfast!!!

I could eat that any time of day.

I often take leftover pizza and scrape everything off the crust into an omelette.
