  • Pike, Puppies, Shrooms and Onions in the man skillet with a killer cranberry wasabi

    ...sauce!

Brought back some pike from our last adventure with Bassman and fried it up along with everything else tonight. Was a first for me for pike - both catching and eating. WOW!! What a great fish. Paired that up with some breaded shrooms, onions, and some of Bassman's sweet hush puppies. If I'm not on for a couple of days, my heart likely stopped!

    Hush Puppies

    Shrooms and onion slivers

    Pike

    My dinner

And the start of tonight's show - the cranberry wasabi sauce. This is killer.

    All measurements are approximate!!

    1/2 C mayonnaise
    3 T cranberry wasabi
    1.5 T deli mustard
    1 good squirt of ketchup
    3 t cajun seasoning
1 to 3 bottle(s) ice cold 5 Barrel Pale Ale

whilst sipping your bottles(s) of brew, mix all of the above together in what ever order you want!

Was great on the fish and the fried onions.

Thanks for checking out my pike post - and thanks to Bassman for turning me on to the pike!!

That is some fine looking pike and puppies! We'll have to do it again. I got stuck catching a bunch of walleye and bass.

That's what you get for only giving me three day's notice to go to Powell... I'll eat all your damn fish!

Sounds like you had a grand time, Keith. I'll catch the next trip with ya West... unless you're leaving on Wednesday!

Jeez Tracey, I fried up a few homemade chicken tenders tonight and doused them in hot sauce and provalone for a fine sandwich on a buttered and grilled bun. It has NOTHING on this. Just beautiful! !!

All great looking grub, especially the shrooms but then, I'm a maniac for almost anything containing mushrooms.

Cranberry wasabi sauce sounds really tasty!
Haven't seen that around here and we have a good amount of Bookbinders products but if I do spot it I'm sure gonna pick one up
