  • My $8 Weber wannabe

Here is my Craigs list $8 Uniflame kettle, cleaned, modified, set up to smoke indirect. I will fire it up in the next day or two and we'll see how well it works.
I am almost as excited as having my big smoker.

Sweet. I just got my first kettle as well and after only one cook I can tell I am going to love using it. There was a guy on craigs list around here that was selling that same unit you got for $40. I figured I would pass on his and pay the same amount of money for a Weber that I was able to find. Man you got a great price!! Have fun.

The bottom vents are horizontal sliders on the sides of the ash can that looks like a small charcol chiminey, this slides out for dumping. The top has the weber type twist valve but the openings are triangular shaped. I added the hinged grate today. Guess I'll save the new non-hinged one for something else.
