  • RO Charcoal Briquets...

Got an order for some ribs and chiggin' again over the weekend. No pix, butt it did happen. Ever since I got stumped by Stubbs briquets... too smokey and a bad burn, I've been using RO lump in me Webers. Don't get me wrong, RO lump is good shit, butt this temp spike thing I have been having lately with it... got me upset.

I grabbed a couple bags of RO briquets again, after taking a couple year hiatus from it... they evidently did some homework since my last outing with it... I was pleasantly surprised. Nice burn, stable temps, and great flavor. I did the minion method for the ribs on me Smoke EZ gig, and offset grilling on me other kettle for the chiggin. Obviously, a smoker and a grill going at the same time takes a toll on one's nerves, plus slicing off a fingertip in the prep process, started the cocktail hour a bit early... after some proper medical assistance. Butt I made it thru...

Pix next time... dint wanna bleed on me camera...

I've been using RO briqs and have had no problems with them.

That's all I use anymore. Seems to burn longer and hotter.
