  • Smoked Chicken Spaghetti

This is something I did before with some leftover smoked chicken. Thought somebody might want to try it with all the leftovers from this weekend. It's cheesy and it's good....This is a big dish down here in these parts of Louisiana.

    Recipe
5 Chicken Breasts (Boneless) (Subsitute Smoked Chicken)
One 15 oz. Jar of Cheez Wiz
One 10 ¾ oz. Can of Campbell’s Cheddar Cheese Soup
One 10 ½ Oz. Can of Cream of Chicken Soup
One 10 oz. Can of Rotel (Diced Tomatoes and Green Chiles-Mild)-Do Not Drain
One 1 Pound Package of Spaghetti
Boil Chicken Breasts until tender. Remove from water. Use the water you boiled with to cook the spaghetti. Follow directions on packet. Cut chicken breasts into cubes.
Add the Cheez Wiz, Cheddar Soup, Cream of Chicken Soup and Rotel into a sauce pan. Heat slowly until it reaches a low boil. Once it reaches a boil, add the chicken.
Combine mixture in sauce pan with the spaghetti.

I'll post this since you asked. It is very good with chicken, although I've never used smoked chicken.
I don't make this anymore, since I quit drinking. But I have found beer extract powder, and plan to try that.

                  1/2 C butter
                  1 C flour
                  4 C chicken broth
                  1 1/2 C milk
                  16 oz Cheez Whiz
                  6 oz. beer
                  1 Tbl Worcestershire sauce

Melt butter and mix in flour making a light colored roux. Add Cheez Whiz, broth and milk. Stir until smooth and thick. Add beer and Worcestershire sauce, simmer 10 minutes. Serve hot over spaghetti noodles.

Anyone from the Omaha, NE area should know this recipe as it is a copy cat of the beer cheese from Spaghetti Works.

I can't do regular red sauce spaghetti...That would always be a meal when I was kid where I would sit at the table looking at it for hours..."You can't get up from the table until you eat it" as said my mother...
