Spotted this Kettle on the local CL here, and after a few e-mails, blah blah blah, I finally closed the deal. My work schedule didn't help matters but now she's all mine. This belonged to the womans late husband and now it's time to clean out the garage she tells me. Got this baby for $20.00 and will be really nice when she's all slicked up. Taking in to account that it's been under a cover (not shown) it's in pretty good condition.
Has a bit of rust in it, but when I lifted the lid and saw the 3 daisy wheels my large purple headed warrior was standing at attention. I've been looking for one of these damn near forever.
The coal grate is still in good shape but the cooking grate is shot, imo. I'll replace that with a hinged one.
It's a "C" code which is 1981
The handles are damn near perfect considering this Kettle is 31 yrs old. She asked me if I thought $20.00 was too much and I didn't have the heart to say no. I just paid her, put the kettle in my truck and hauled ass.
