Well, this time tomorrow, I'll be preppin' and cookin' me arse off... the comp is here!

I was really worried about finding some decent brisket, but alas, I found a butcher that hooked me up with two beautiful packers... and they were $2.09/LB!!

Well, I survived... the weather was lousey! It rained all day Friday and the wind was awful in the morning. All the competitors had to set up in an alternate area, due to soggy ground conditions. Saturday was a bit better, but we still had showers off and on.

As far as the comp itself, I think I ended up in 8th place overall... I don't have my judging sheets yet. It seems I neglected to get them after they announced the winners... I was tired and wanted to get packed up and go home. They're gonna fax them to me.

We had a great time, met alot of fine folks, and cooked a bunch of mighty tasty grub. I think the brisket was the best I've ever done! I'm still having trouble with my presentations though. Yes, I did take some pictures this time, butt I haven't downloaded them from the camera yet... stay tuned.
