  • superVman pepper flat Iron

    A while back superVman sent me some up north peppers that he grew.
    so I marinated a flat iron with rub and some of his ground up peppers then lined the top with some whole peppers of same. then vacum packaged the thing and stuck her in the frezzer.
    pulled it out the other day and let defrost. (pic to follow. LOL.)
    it has been on the smoker since 1630 hours. the wind picked up and dropped the temp. had to fire up another chimmeny which brought her back to temp asap.
    I made a spritz of cranbbery/pomegrant/ trible sec (what a waste putting it on meat,) I ended up pouring it over ice and drinking it. and used the garden hose to spritz the dern thing.
    any how she is at 135 temp and waiting for it to hit 150 then pull foil and into a snug towel for awhile. hmmm. every body is p.oed that we will eat late so I sent thier tired butts to bed early. we will dine on it with the rest of the viddles that I made up to go with it in the mornin....more to come.

      it is 1240 hours..she just hit 150 on the temp probe..pulled it off and she is resting for a while. got a couple good pics. now to post them.

            I missed this last night.
            They are "Super Chili" peppers. Pretty hot little buggers.

                      you can see the super V peppers on top of the flat iron.they were hot and tasty. also incorperated some in to the rub.

                              Well, it looks like I jipped you.

                              Those peppers "are" hot in my book and you only had a few on the top of the steak.

                              This year in Minny is the dryest year since 1934. DUst bowl?
                              My peppers died. I've been tending to Wifey.
                              It's been a rough year.

                              I'll get you some more peppers when I can.
