  • Please help!

    Got some free "fruit" wood today off CL. Person wasn't sure if it was apple,cherry,pear, or peach? Maybe even a mix? Any help is greatly appreciated! I have only bought labeled bags of wood chunks....

    it looks like my apple. send it to me & i'll let you know.

    fire some up & see if you recognize the smell.that's the only way I can ever really tell.

      Lol thanks for the tip! I will prob try and burn some tomorrow and see how it smells! Anyone else agree its prob apple?

            I'd go with apple as well but what do I know. Looks like the stuff my dad gave me.

              I'm not as positive as others saying it's Apple.

              All I can say is you can delete Cherry from the 4 you listed.

                  I used one of the smaller limbs yesterday---- it smelled kind of like cherry but slightly different. I have been cooking with cherry chunks for a while now so I forget what apple smells like and I have never used peach. Who knows--- all I know is the chuckie and wings I cooked yesterday were delish!

                    I have a chunk of Peach at home i think. I will take a pic and attach. Might be Plum? Cant remember....
