  • Cast iron pizza

Not que but still very good. Really need to get a baking steel. Cooked in a cast iron skillet- under the broiler first the on the stove top to cook/char the bottom.
Result: top crust nice- bottom crust sucked.
Gonna reverse the order next time.

Nothing beats a pizza stone, short of a real pizza oven, IMHO. Yours looks good.

Looks good. Did you try warming up the skillet first before adding your pizza?

Like Becky said, I would put the CI pan in a 400* oven for ten or fifteen minutes to get it hot. It''ll be a little harder to press out the dough but will give a better crust. IMHO

        The pizza looks great.

I press out my dough in the pan and then remove, and while the pan is heating I get the pizza ready so all I have to do is slide it in the pan.

            Re

Anyone ever dust the pan with a little cornmeal before putting the dough back in it to bake ? Could make it easier to get out of the pan.
