  • Woo hoo !Chocolate covered bacon!

Sorry no pics of the process as it was just too messy to take pics. In a nutshell I baked some lean thick bacon , melted some semi sweet chocolate chips , dredged the bacon in the chocolate and sprinkled with coarse sea salt.

These were just flat out ridiculously good. Over all I am pleased with my first attempt. I have ideas to make it better next time but as I said these were fantastic. One of the best things I have ever eaten .

Still eating healthy . I have made a lot of progress so I decided to reward myself with this. I ate four

Now that sounds pretty dammit good actually. A while back, I fried up some bacon, crumbled it and added it to some vanilla ice cream. The combo of salty/smoky with the sweet was off the hook good. I bet crumbing some of your would be even better

Hey Bee, I have a buddy whose son got married this summer...At the reception they had one of those chocolate water falls and a whole myriad of things you could dip in that thing...including bacon! Just run that under the chocolate and Viola chocolate coated goodness. That is some good stuff...

Sounds good, might have to try it this week. Been hearing a lot lately where people put cayenne in their chocolate, think I might try some that way.

Trust me. If you like the salty sweet thing this is a home run. I think I am going to make a bunch of it for Thanksgiving . Might drizzle some white chocalate on some for looks.

That is disgraceful. You should be ashamed of yourself. The only way to redeem yourself now is to send all of that chocolate covered bacon to me right away.
