  • I have the CI bug

So on top of my inherited le creuset #23 and the 10.5" lodge I bought, I picked up a Wagner #3 and a Wagner square skillet. The #3 Is perfect for a couple eggs to scramble or fry(I cook my 8 month old daughter cheesy scrambled eggs 5 mornings a week :)

I figure the square skillet will be perfect for high volume bacon cooks. I can't wait to get it.

A lodge 5qt Dutch oven is on my Christmas list from my wifey :D

Just had to share my excitement and new Interest. I will post a CI family photo when I get my square skillet in a few days....

Pie are round cornbread are square.

Those square cast iron skillets are perfect for cornbread. We have one that belonged to my wife's great grandmother. It is around 125 years old. Talk about well seasoned. I wonder how many delicious pones have come out of that old skillet. I me self have to have made several hundred.

Everything I own now is cast, enamel cast or scan pan copper, I've got some scan pan non stick and a big circulon non stick too, don't mess around with cheap cookware anymore unless its a knock off enamel cast iron one.
Some of the cheap ones are just as good as the lecruset and 20 or 30 bucks compared to 300

I've got a few pieces but don't use them....not a particular reason why I don't just don't. Wish I had a gas stove - might make me use them once in a while. Got score on the CI!! Use them often and show us some pics.
