I poked around on their message board for a few minutes and read a post that some guy boiled his chicken thighs for 30 minutes before grilling/saucing them. At least the other members chastised him appropriately.KCBS/CBJ #56408

I like Steven Raichlen, but this looks like a feeble attempt to update his BBQ Bible, without coming up with his own stuff. Maybe he ran out of recipes. I bet most of the membership here could come up with plenty of stuff that would "knock his socks off." Cowgirl, Bbqgoddess, uncle honky, WD.......................?, Rich, just to name a few, would get in for sure.

Gunslinger...I don't doubt that for a minute! I wouldn't mind winning something like that Weber performer. My wife would make me sell one of the other cookers though.

I am with Gunny on this one it sounds like he is trying to compile new ideas for his new book. Funny I just came up with a grilled pineapple the other day when I realized we were out of good maple syrup. It was very yummy! Next time I make it I will share the recipe along with pix..
