    Lid Holder and Fried Egg, Ham Steak and Cheese Sammy

    Well, last month my one and only lid holder got turned into a bird feeder hanger. Works pretty well and I can hang 2 feeders from it! Had another rainy morning and we were away from the barn picking up trash so I found a big cedar tree to cook under and stay dry. Kinda on a slope though but that didn't matter...we don't have anything level anyway. Turned my DO pot upside down and covered the bottom with coals and set the lid on the legs. Worked great!























    I love my little black pot!

              Like it! Did some omelets tailgating at Talladega. Woman comes up...well i'll be damned...I have tried to figure out how to do that cause I know you can cook on the inside of the lid...dragged her husband over...Sum Bitch...i'm 63 years old & learned what them damn legs are for other than stacking...Louie made em both a omelet...Sure do like me Cast Iron DO!

                          My favorite breakfast Sammy. Great pics and food as usual Becky. Love your improvisation with the lid holder too.

                          That style DO is the greatest, isn't it? So many ways to use it. Had fun teaching my nephew how to use one a few summers ago.
