  • Chicken Bacon Artichoke Pizza

Well was chatting with our buddy Fish the other night and he pointed out this type of pizza from one of his places he goes... so I figured I would give it a shot and see how it tasted, as it sounded great!!

So here is what we have. Made a fresh dough ball and let rise.

Did a hand toss on the dough to a thin crust as that is what Scott said theirs had. Then spread on some garlic cream sauce. Here I used a garlic Alfredo. Turned out to be a good choice.

Then put on some baby spinach.

Then some smoked chicken that was left over chopped it up to bite size pieces.

Then some artichoke hearts that were chopped up.

Then a mixture of Parm and Mozz. cheese. about a 70/30 mix.

Then some bacon and into the oven it went at 500* as I wanted to crust crispy!

Here she is out of the oven. Put some butter on the crust and then some Mad Hunky Pizza Shake.

Here is the bottom.. nice and brown.

    A close up

    And my first slice.

This was a very good pizza. I liked it a lot. Wife was okay with it.. but she is not a big artichoke fan so I guess I was not shocked my that.. All in all it was very flavorful and I will make again!!

Thanks for viewing and have a great night!!

Try it with this Alfredo sauce,
                  2 1/2 cups heavy cream
                  1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
                  12 tablespoons unsalted butter
                  2 cups grated Parmesan
                  2 teaspoons grated lemon zest
                  Pinch freshly grated nutmeg
Salt and freshly ground white pepper

                  Directions

Stir 2 cups of the cream and the lemon juice in a heavy large skillet to blend. Add the butter and cook over medium heat just until the butter melts, stirring occasionally, about 3 minutes. Remove from the heat.

. Add the remaining 1/2 cup of cream, and Parmesan to the cream sauce in the skillet. Add the lemon zest, nutmeg, salt, and white pepper. Stir over low heat until the sauce thickens slightly, about 1 minute.

Add red pepper flakes if ya wants spicy!

Honestly, I don't know Brian, I have watched them make a few on the line, butt never really paid much attention..... I do see them shaking on something at the end, but have no idea what it is? .... The sauce, for this pizza anyway, is almost white..... If you have a Pappa Murphy's nearby, might be worth picking one up & seeing what you think .... I have cooked them before & sliced into fairly small rectangles & served as an appetizer for games & parties..... Dang, I think I better go get one tomorrow
