Yea I looked at the 18's but my life usually somehow manages to go with the "bigger is better" syndrome. I had a pretty stellar week at work, had to recover a crashed truck in a limestone mine. If the boss flips me a little coin it will go to a wsm or a performer.

I test drove each before I purchased. had an 18.5 and the 22.5 for about 2 months each. Found the big one while great size wise used alot more fuel than the miserly smaller WSM.

....... If you got the $... Get em both & see which one better fits your needs..... OR BOTH? in the end ....... Took me a while playing around with both models to see what best fit my needs.... Just me

Im With the bigger is better crowd.A whole rack of ribs almost hangs over on the 22.5 inch rack but I can still get 3 per rack on her.I would have to imagine burning and drying out a few bones on each rack with the 18''er.
