Well, I must say it is fun following y'all around the internet... Thanks to the Capt D for the invite. Using a Drum only now (built by Bubba). The ECB electric is packed in MI still. (we recently moved to Tulsa) Yall know the rest... thanks for having me.

K, Thx for asking. He (Aaron) is sort of sleeping through the night. Wife and I are still scratching our heads on why we wanted to go back to the beginning like this. (Other two boys are in school now) But then Aaron smiles and we forget all of that.

I did pick up a consulting gig in the last few weeks so that is cool. Although, not working and having time to run, smoke meat, take the boys to school... I could get used to that. It was fun while it lasted but I never really relax.

Hey, yall are very kind. I take it Ken (TX-HNTR) set this site up? Glad he did. I do come around and read/scan things but probably only smoke once/twice a month now.

I plan to get better @ beef at some point. I have connected with some local Okies yall know, too. They are great. I may take a judging class Feb 21 here locally to try and learn more but am a believer I need to SMOKE to really learn. Bubba has the picture of my rig covered, although it does not look as nice now. (I am in process of adding more thermo holes and a new exh as my the old one melted during my 3 Thanksgiving Turkey smokes at 325+.)

I also have a donor 22.5" charcoal grill (kingsford brand) that I plan to use to make a 2nd UDS.

Now my parents neighbor wants a smoker - she's a total beginner. I am going to steer her toward a drum if she will deal with fire right out of the gate.
