  • Gavity-fed, upright, reverse-flow pellet smoker?

Sometimes late at night I lay in bed and can't sleep and come up with all kinds of strange ideas in my head.

Last night I started thinking about a gravity-fed pellet smoker. It just kind of snow-balled from there, ending up with a cabinet style smoker, reverse flow to try to eliminate any hot/cold spots. I think with a small fan for forced air there shouldn't be any problems with draft, but who knows. It's just an idea anyway, I'd probably never have time to even attempt such a beast.

Anyway, just curious if anyone had heard of such a thing?

Yeah, someone posted one here. I'd have to search when I get home. Maybe someone can find it for you.

Thanks. I did a little searching on here but didn't turn up anything. Probably just not using the right keywords though.

Dang, would be nice to see the pics, but thanks for the thread! Been doing a little looking online too. Saw someone that said a friend had a "gravity feed stick burner". Wonder how that works? Throw the logs in the top and they drop down as they burn?

I would guess you get pet woodchucks and keep them on a platform...
