A buddy is trying to sign up and keeps getting told his answer to the secret question is not correct. Since when is there a secret question and how could any answer be incorrect?

I have seen forums use a question / answer for entry before on V-bulletin sites...it is kind of like the words that are in funny fonts that they ask what is typed in the box...it prevents spam and such.
I don't know if they have this enabled here...I have not seen it, but I do know it is an option.
I found the question...but they usually rotate through several options. for this one..."What cut of meat is Texas best known for?" ...My answer would be Brisk** for this random question.
Hopefully Rich or Ken will weigh in.
