  • Can I call it a cheesesteak if it is made with pork?

    You be the judge...

Started with a toasted wheat roll...Dressed with Mad Hunky Mayo...A pile of smoked pork from yesterday's cook...A thick layer of smoked pepperjack cheese...Top that with crispy bacon cooked on the smoker and sautéed onions and red sweet peppers...

I got nothing left to say...Call it what you will...It was damn good...

Didn't think cheese steak was right since steak wasn't a part of it...

... if you want, as long as it comes out fixed up like that !!!

Sometimes, a very short description & only one pic tells the tale & you can actually just taste it.....this one falls under that heading !!!

                    Good show !!!!

Having lived in Philly, I have had more than my fair share of Philly Cheesesteaks. It's also ruined me to crappy cheesesteaks served most anywhere else. But there is a thing called a Chicken Cheesesteak, I ate a few of them too. I would call that a pork cheesesteak. And I wish I had one of them about now.

I would have to say, "Yes, you should call it a Pork Cheesesteak", because all of the steak hoagie joints around here (In the Philly area) sell one with chicken, And they are ALL called "Chicken Cheesesteaks", even though there's no "Steak" in them.

I can officially tell you that your "Pork Cheesesteak" looks Awesome!!!
