  • Rich's rub on everything!

I know Rich likes it best on pork, but here's a grilled bacon-wrapped boneless, skinless chicken breast with Rich's rub on it. The side is baking potato and summer squash slices that were wrapped in foil with Rich's rub, an EVOO drizzle and three pats of butter. Mmm! The whole meal took less than 2 hours including prep time, which is a great time for a "from scratch" weeknight meal.

Sorry for the presentation, but I had to chow down before I grabbed a pic!

Also, I found out how warm that rub can be when I got some in a cut on my finger!

3 or 4 more bites and you would not have anything to take a pic of... I need to break his rub out... Just have not had time to really grill or smoke anything in a few weeks..

Haha...yes sir..I have done the "cut test" too. Wise to wash hands after use as well..there IS some pepper in that stuff. My second favorite application is chicken for the rub, actually.

Glad you liked it and thanks for the testing and feedback!

Rich, I am really sucking up to you to see if I can get some more! I'll just go ahead and admit it!

                (Did this work??? )

I used it on smoked baby backs, too, but did not get a pic of them because they disappeared too fast.

I am awaiting a time when my life settles back down so I can smoke for a day or more again. That will be a good day!

I have just contracted with a commercial outfit to make it for me. There's a tweaking process and stuff till final approval. At that point, I will be ordering in 50 Lb. batches.

BUT..I have a batch here. I would need $12/Lb plus shipping, as that's what I pretty much broke it down to. Or ya can wait, and I expect it to be more like 8 an Lb in commercial quans.

Of course an Lb is quite a few slabs, butts or chickens. Could do a half Lb as well-

Hey Rich, I am glad you are contracted now.

Looks like it'd be easier if I wait until it is ready! Thanks!
