Yoder YS640 Smoke Leakage

Spent a month now playing with YS640 multiple cooks. I noticed smoke leakage bottom right door and about six inches up the same side. Also smoke coming out of grease drain. Should I be concerned? Thanks.

Doubt it. The grease drain tho... you cleaned 'er out yet?

I have cleaned it out weekly. Talked to Byron at Yoder said I could adjust door hinges and he was not concerned about smoke out of the grease drain. Certainly does not leak smoke like my Texas. Saw some posts about nomex gasket tape. May try that. Thanks

OK thought was maybe some grease burning in the bottom... Yeah..a bit of smoke leaking out a smoker is only a concern with an indoor commercial unit. My Lang likes to spit a bit... I allow it. :D

I think folks get waaaaay too wound up over a bit of smoke leaking. Is the food coming out ok? Fugitaboudit.

I think alot of us take that view..however tempered with pracitcal experience... it makes alot more sense... perhaps even to wives...

Yoder has done it pretty damned right. And seem to stand solidly behind their product. I do not have one but many here do. and a few had issues, but I'd have to say it seems all were addressed... and in a timely fashion.

A smoker leaking some smoke..to me... is not a big deal...and indeed... perhaps a mark of character. Got a buddy that's real proud of his oil dripping Harley
