  • Crawdads and stuff.........just some finger food

This was one of the finger foods for the 4th.

seasoned my pot with crawfish boil, fresh lemon juice, salt, cayenne, garlic, onions, Andouille......
    then added the taters first

Drizzled the corn with olive oil, seasoned with S&P then wrapped in bacon..

started the taters over the hot coals first...

added the bacon wrapped corn to the top shelf to catch some smoke...

when the taters were about tender I added the crawdads...

added a few crab legs to catch some smoke...

    the shrimp came last...

I like my bacon crisp.. I grilled over the hot coals til done.
The bacon protects the kernels of corn, keeps them moist.

The crawdads, shrimp, sausage, taters, crab legs, bacon wrapped corn....

served with garlic butter, bread, cold beer and lots of napkins..

Had a pretty good 4th. Drug some snowballs out of the freezer, lit a few sparklers and did a lot of swimming, eating and drinking. :)
Thanks for looking at my fingerfood!

Willie thank you! If the bacon is crisp, it won't flop around.

Thank you Bearcarver. The 6-15 pictures were posted on the "corn on the cob idea" thread.... I can't remember who started the thread.
I make this for the super bowl every year. Sometimes for new years eve.
During the summer I usually just do a full sized crawdad boil. This is sort of a "mini" cook. :)
                Thanks again!
