Sooo...Fresh seafood isn't that easy to get here in the middle of nowhere.

So we do what we can.

        Friday night.
Bringin the cast iron and the Weber into play,

Here we have the Recipe mixed and in the pan.

And here we are on the Weber setup for direct/indirect cooking. Canned Lesueur peas in the other pan. A couple chunks of peach wood to add some smoke flavor.

        And on the plate.

And here we go. Taking a seriously easy boxed meal and kicking it up a notch. Just what is needed on a Friday night.

Me loves peas! Not so much the canned ones, rather do the frozen ones. Still, that's how you do an easy tasty meal with little work, and still have time to do chores and watch TV.

                Nice! I'd eat it!

I was actually hoping for this thread to be a little more entertaining, but I screwed up photo bucket again! Thought I was following what I was taught, but guess not. Guess I'm hitting enter one too many times. At any rate, Criag jumped in and fixed it for me, so you are seeing his narrative, not mine. Thank goodness for someone who will do that for you, eh? Someday I'm sure I will figure this out, let's just not put a time limit on it, ok?

I thought it was lacking the Lena swirl... Tell Craiger he needs to work at it some.

Nice looking grub even if the peas are canned. And heck yeah, Friday night, nothing wrong with supercharging something that is already supposed to be good! bring it from palatable to delicious.

Those Lesueur peas are the only canned peas I'll eat.
Oh, and some of those ingredients just showed up for their photo op.
I did not add any garlic or salt.
