    WOW!
I still can't get over the fact that you call that a "garden".
Its amazing, I call the baby girl over ever update to show her the progress.
Well now I have questions I can't answer....
How do you know when its done growing if it is growing underground?
Do seed sun's (Sunflower seed's) come from those pretty flowers?
    Does asparagus grow under ground?
And can we have a bunnie? lol!
    Thanks!

    BTW your garlic is gorgeous!

Wow Nice Garden. Mine is way behind and lost alot of plants in early june due to too much rain. This pic was taken last week when we just got 1/4 inch. Everything is really needing some rain.

Most Underground things like potatoes the plant above ground will die off and then its time to harvest. Carrots you can see the top above ground and when they look big enough I'll pull one to check.

sunflower seeds do come from the flowers.

Asparagus grows above ground. Early in the year they send up sprouts which are cut off that is what you see in the store. You can harvest it for about 2-2.5 months then you let the sprouts grow up into a fern like plant tp put nurishment into the roots for next years crop. I stopped harvesting at the end of june.

The bunnies are wild once their eyes open they will leave the nest and eat my garden. They built their nest in my garlic bed and when I harvested it I exposed the nest. I have since piled up some weeds to keep them under cover so the crows won't get them. The mother only comes back in the evening to succel them.

I gotta tell ya though , just looking at that first pic with the taters , my back started aching and I've never dug taters yet but to hear my Mum talk about it ... Reminds me of my commercial roofing days .

Yep taters are a lot of work to plant them then harvest them. I used to do it in one day now I'm a little older and smarter I do it in 2 days. That way I don't suffer the next day, sore back and sore legs.

This is the coldest summer here too. My garden is about a month behind where it should be. I should be eating fresh tomatoes and corn, I'm still 2 weeks away I am probably quite a bit south of your location too.
