  • Creamy Chicken Tortilla Soup... Real Good, Real Tasty, Real Easy

It was soup day on , made a Batch of Max & Erma's Chicken Tortilla Soup and chicken noodle...Max & Erma's is a local place started to expand and well retracted. started in Col. Ohio and in college I ate this soup a bunch... one day my buddy gave me this... who know where he got it as it was many moons ago... it is spot on!!

I have posted noodle recipe before but here is everything we need for both.. My wonderful girls in the background!!

Here is the noodle soup all finished!

Okay on to the good stuff!!

For the Tortilla Soup here is your shopping list.. no h20 added to the soup...I have tried with Kroger brand it is just about as good but off just slightly..

    1 medium onion, chopped
    4 fresh garlic cloves, minced
2 cans Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup
2 cans Campbell's Cream of Chicken Soup
2 cans Campbell's condensed cream of celery soup
2 cans Campbell's cheddar cheese soup
2 (15 ounce) cans chicken broth or one box 32 oz
1 cup picante salsa (Pace brand medium hot) I use my own salsa
1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 (4 1/2 ounce) can green chilies (Ortega brand) I use canned jalaps
1 teaspoon red new mexico chile powder
salt and pepper, to your taste
    1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
4 grilled chicken breasts seasoned with season salt

In a large (8-10 quart) stockpot cook onion and garlic.

combine and whisk together until smooth all eight cans of soup.

Add chicken broth. Add tomatoes, salsa, green chiles, chile powder, chicken breast chunks, pepper. simmer for 1 hour.

Add cilantro simmer another hour. You need to stir often or it will burn!!

Top with cheese and sour cream and some chips and you are a happy camper!!

As with any soup you let sit in frig a day it gets even better!! hope you try it some day!!

                      *boom* goes the dynamite

i'm telling you, that is some fantastic soup(s)!

i love using campbells soups as an ingredient in various recipes.

i just never thought of using/combining them on this level.

                      because it blew my mind!
