i want to can smoked corn, so i have it year round. Since its already cooked, do you skip this step in the canning of the corn?

Since you have to heat up the contents to seal the jar I'm not sure you can eliminate cooking them again.

I smoked a bunch last weekend. I just cut it off the cob and put enough for 1 dinner in each vac bag and sealed it. Did that last summer and had smoked corn all winter. Gonna do some more this weekend._______________________________________

wd couldnt a person smoke the corn on the cob first then cut the kernals off the cob and into a canning jar and add water , salt and then pressure can to seal...i could not see why that would not workMike
