i want to can smoked corn, so i have it year round. Since its already cooked, do you skip this step in the canning of the corn?

Since you have to heat up the contents to seal the jar I'm not sure you can eliminate cooking them again.

You might could freeze smoked corn..........

I smoked a bunch last weekend. I just cut it off the cob and put enough for 1 dinner in each vac bag and sealed it. Did that last summer and had smoked corn all winter. Gonna do some more this weekend.

it has been my experience that home canned corn doesn't taste very good. The long processing time just breaks it down too much. No taste and the texture is gone. I would cut it off the cob, then freeze it.
