  • Marie Sharp's hot sauce

I used to love Pickapepper hot sauce. ran out an ordered some on line.
since the hurricanes devistated the islands I think the Jamaicins are using ornamental peppers for their sauce, just heat no flavor. it does not at all taste the same as the old stuff prior to the hurricanes in 2000 to present.
I found some Marie Sharp's in a dive place that had excellent grub. bought a bottle, and now order it by the case. I like the gold foiled one the best.

I have not tried any thing else from them. But would love to. seems they have some interesting sauces.

here is a link to their site.

Yanno, I had forgot about Pickapepper. Guess if I see it I won't pick any up. That's sad- was a great sauce.

BTW Chalula's now has a chipolte and another type sauce. The resto I grill at has sample bottles. Gonna break into them and will report.

      Rich,

Cholula is a pretty good hot sauce. and they have there foot in the door big time around here. (makes me wonder) it is on the table in most restruants here.

But, Maries is way off the charts better. they use carrot juice instead of vinegar and water. and the taste is good. the hab is hot. but very flaverfull also.
I saw it at a wal-mart in orange park,FL. and had the stocker guy run to the back and hook me up with a case. I look every time I go shopping at the hot sauce collectiuon for sale. hardly see this stuff.
