  • The start of a fresh salsa

My 2 year old plants are producing for the second time this year, and they're coming out bigger than they did in spring. Gloria's going to use these and some more, in a fresh salsa for our Sunday Tardeada(afteroon party). Hope to have pics before the folks start digging in. Thanks for checking out my chiles.
    Smoke and seeds forever.

Great outcome. Is it true that the ones with wrinkles have more heat than the ones with no wrinkles?

I plan ahead, that way I don't do anything right now.

I cannot taste the difference between the two. Same thing about curly stems being hotter than straight stems, they taste the same to me.

Yeah just a terrible gardening season here. It would of been perfect If we didnt go from flooded to drought and back to flooded, and got the amount of rain we did just spread out through the growing season. Oh well; got some excersize and a some meals out of it all. Must be nice to keep the pepper plants for a couple years producing.

Richo is it warm enough in your area to overwinter your plants outside or do you take them in, as in a greenhouse...

Luckily, it didn't get cold enough last winter'spring to kill them. Being disabled, It's not practical for me to bring my plants indoors, beside I have too many. I'd just grab some seed in March and start over again. You know... it would be nice to have a greenhouse.

Yanno rich I always wanted to and some day will build a raised bed/cold frame. 4 foot x 8 foot would be nice and maybe 8 inches deep. No bending, easy harvest and being that of a cold frame could get things started early.
