  • Just the beginning

Just the second picking for me...My son wiped me out on the first one I cant complain because he did the picking...

Habenero peppers Red Savina to be exact...
The green ones came from a single branch that could no longer support the weight and broke off the plant

The same box...Red and orange Thai peppers...

Same box...Serrano peppers with the same story on the green peppers...
Friggin plants are just overloaded...These are a variety called Devils Tongue... Bigger, thicker and hotter

And last but not least...Red ripe Jalapeño peppers with the same old broken branch story...

The Habs and the Thai will hit the dehydrator as are...
The Japs and serranos will get smoked and dried...CHIPOTLE!!!

By next weekend I will be doing this again
Thinkin a batch of "smokin hot sauce" will be in order...
Will need 1.5 pounds of Habs to make a double batch...

    Thanks for lookin...

Damn. I'm jealous. Wish I had something to trade. Always wanted to grow my own batch of good peppers. Maybe make a salsa. I wish you well

my tastebuds are hiding in terror just looking at the pictures.

I might take some of the red japs (unless I;ve got it the wrong way round and ripe is hotter than unripe), but you are welcome to the rest :-)

On the other paw, phoebe - who ate a whole packet of ghost pepper powder, with no noticeable effect, would like some of the habaneros to snack on :-)

If one could only look into the future at the FREAK household... What might they see???

                  .

Not to mention the occasional campfire
