  • Looking for a recipe: pain au lardon

Anyone have a tried and true recipe for "pain au lardon"?
I see some recipes on the net but was hoping to find one from a trusted source.

Never made nor eaten it, but it sounds very interesting. Here is a recipe that seems good to me. I gotta try this some time. Scroll down through the thread for the actual recipe and method.

                    dude...
Yeah I might have recieved a few more responses but I did inspire a few to think and learn something new.

Yes, it is Bacon Bread and I will take a good look at the recipe posted. I mean what could be better then bread with the bacon baked into it. Talk about good bread for a blt!

My response was to Lee for accusing me of being able to bake-

Indeed... the post was a good one on a couple levels... inspiration AND using BACON!

It just sounds like a good tasting bread!!! I am hungry!

It would go nicely with the cajun 15 bean soup I am going to make tonight.

lol I workedv out that it was bacon bread - lard bread just didn't sound right

A ready to slice giant bacon sarnie, just add ketchup - what's not to like :-)
