Oven, the mahogany shoulder bacon got a fair mount a sugar in it, cookin it in the oven at bout 325* seems ta make a super nice bacon an the sugar don't burn. Fry pan works just as good, course that be cast iron. Lets face it, anyway ya cook bacon, bacon is goooooood!

          Till crispy, of course.

It depends, sometimes in the oven and sometimes even in the microwave with lots of papertowels for the spatters.

i agree with the one poster in that link........if its just for me and momma, pan frying is the way i go........but for a whole bunch, i do em in the oven.......lots easier, and less messy that way...........

I use a thick slice sugar cure bacon and I put it on parchment on a baking sheet. bake it 350 for 15 minutes or so. the fat gets creamy. I am not a crispy bacon guy. I like the creamyness of pork belly fat!

Mostly in the oven @325o but when camping I use a flat griddle and a hot bacon press.

non-sick fry pan and my bacon doesn't have enough fat to worry about :-) Just enough to let it fry in it's own juices ;-)

actually if I'm in a hurry and just want a sarnie I'll do it in the microwave too :-)
