  • Anyone use a larding needle?

Looking to get a larding needle. The prices range from about $4 to $65.
I imagine you get what you pay for, but if anybody out there has one or has used one, please tell me about it. Likes, dislikes and style preference, or whatever. Thanks. Me thinks a few cuts of pork and beef could benefit from this treatment.

Sure can, SD... I use a home made jobbie- just a thin slice of maple with a "V" cut in the end. Use my fillet knife to make the puncture, and double a thin strip of fat over the "V" and push it in. :{)

Well Rich that sounds simple, cheap and easy. Excellent and thanks for that tip. What cuts have you used it on?

Some of the leaner beef roasts, and venison roasts works well!
