      Hi there SmokeAN

How about telling us a little about yourself and what kind of smoker you have. It would be easier to help you find a new one if we know what you already have.

What ya sportin' now? The Chargrillers are nice, they'll do like 3 butts or 5 slabs I think... and they are less than half your top price... gotta do a mod or two, but hey there's some more time well spent :{)

I think you can get a 22.5 inch WSM for under $500; or you could make three or four drums for $500.

Or save the money and par boil them.....that's a joke!

I have a brinkmann its small. I really don't know what type I want.. I need something simple but not the pain in the BUM the one I have is LOL... I used to watch my Dad grill and smoke often... he had a brick one the size of an outhouse and also smoked in a pit... so I have seen it done a few ways
so any ideas would be helpful...

tell ya a little about myself.. I'm trying to remember my intro post... but things have changed a bit over the last 6 months... Still a veterinarian...moved from Indy to NE indiana a few months ago.. I have done butts, sausage, meatloaf, brisket, chicken, corn ... that type of thing... but I'm dealing with a very small smoker.... I would like bigger

Check out the chargriller with OPTIONAL side fire box. Good value. And quite a bit more capacity.

                      SFB option..

WSM,Drum are both excellent deal IMO...Not big fuel eaters either...my 22 inch WSM is a fuel hog compared to standard 18 inch i have, but i can easily do 6 butts on the 22 inch....

                        Chargriller is another good option....
