Walking Dude 11-15-2009, 01:03 PM kewl beans on the wedding.........congrats........ uhhh..........why would you WANT a horz.? They take up WAY more counter space. ShooterRick 11-15-2009, 01:04 PM Counter space not an issue for me. Just sounded like good price for 11 lb stuffer by LEM. 167.00 DangerDan 11-15-2009, 02:43 PM Counter space not an issue for me. Just sounded like good price for 11 lb stuffer by LEM. 167.00 Ya know,,, if you sold your daughter (for say, $167.00) rather than just give her away you could come out even...:bounce: cept for the counter space that is... Walking Dude 11-15-2009, 03:04 PM couple bux more, you can get a GOOD 15lb verticle stuffer http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_200333527_200333527 several people here have the northern stuffers, and LOVE em......... you can even get steel gears if you so choose ShooterRick 11-15-2009, 04:05 PM cool. thanks for the info JustSmoke2 11-15-2009, 05:32 PM I have a horizonital and I will be rplacing it with a vertical. You hand crank will be parralel with the stuffer so you need and end section of counter at least like 18 inches for the crank to use. With vertical the handle on the crank shouldn't be an issue. Loading will be much easier also. Horizonital you have to remove it from the holder to reload. Big Guy 11-15-2009, 06:31 PM I have one of each, a 6# horizontal and a 20# vertical. Both have their advantages. The horizontal needs counter space and to be clamped down. The larger you go the more meat is held up once the piston bottoms out. for my 6# horizontal ita a small hand full, enough to make one burger. From the 20# vertical there are several handfulls probably a pound. If I had to do it over I would get a Cabela's 11# vertical, I think its the best of both worlds. What ever you choose pay a few bucks extra and get steel gears. |
