    Happy Thanksgiving early to all of you! Gotta hook up the travel trailer and drag it a couple hours south to Temecula ,Ca. Having Thanksgiving under the stars this time 'round. Wanted some goodies to go and gave Katamala olive bread a try...here goes!

    2 cups Katamala olives chopped/drained 2 small yellow onions chopped, 8 cloves of garlic minced. Sauted these in 4 Tbs. olive oil and cooled.

    4 cups bread flour/ 4 cups wheat flour 1/4 cup Sugar and 1 Tbs salt

    Reserved olive juice from jars. 3/4 cup addiional water added to make a full cup

    The sourdough starter

    The ingredients mixed with 4 Tbs. butter and milk aprox 1/4 cup

    first rise

    punched down and into their greased pans going for the second rise



    second rise

    Brushed these with some EVO and lightly sprinkled with rosemary and corn meal before baking.

    Baked for 40 min. at 400* middle rack / electric oven

    a small loaf cut...wooo weee smells good!!

    in the mean time I put together 4 loaves of English muffin bread to offer to the kinfolk at camp.

          That is a real tasty bread. I have a couple jars of those but will be making this for Christmas time. looks good

                  What does that sentence mean in plain english ????

                  Bread looks fantastic. That sourdough must be powerful stuff did not expect something with that many oilves in to rise that well.
                  Bought some cheap olives last night - was just going to put them out for lunch tomorrow - bugger that I'll put them in the weekend bread instead :-)

                  for that bread mate and hope your thanksgiving went well :-)

                  So what's english muffin bread then ? Never seen it over here lol

                    Ry, is camping down by my brother (Roark's) house, but he is out this weekend dirtbike riding in Ocitella, which is further down south... silly! When Ryan's family and my family get together we have two Roarks, (Rourke is Ryans) and two Killians... and lots of suds!
