Happy Thanksgiving early to all of you! Gotta hook up the travel trailer and drag it a couple hours south to Temecula ,Ca. Having Thanksgiving under the stars this time 'round. Wanted some goodies to go and gave Katamala olive bread a try...here goes!
2 cups Katamala olives chopped/drained 2 small yellow onions chopped, 8 cloves of garlic minced. Sauted these in 4 Tbs. olive oil and cooled.
4 cups bread flour/ 4 cups wheat flour 1/4 cup Sugar and 1 Tbs salt
Reserved olive juice from jars. 3/4 cup addiional water added to make a full cup
The sourdough starter
The ingredients mixed with 4 Tbs. butter and milk aprox 1/4 cup
first rise
punched down and into their greased pans going for the second rise
second rise
Brushed these with some EVO and lightly sprinkled with rosemary and corn meal before baking.
Baked for 40 min. at 400* middle rack / electric oven
cooling on the cooling racks

a small loaf cut...wooo weee smells good!!
in the mean time I put together 4 loaves of English muffin bread to offer to the kinfolk at camp.
