  • turkey drumsticks. Time ?

    I'm going to smoke a couple of drumsticks and wonder what the approx. time needed at 212 deg.F Thanks in advance. Lots of stuff smoking tomorrow will try to post pics.

    I feel your temps are a bit low if they are fresh.. I would bump up the temp to 225-250*.. Then your looking at around 2-3 hours... But that is how I have smoked them..

    Also a good brine the night or 12 hours before is great..

      The highest my thermostat goes is 212 deg F. I could finish in oven.

        I suppose you could finish in the oven...I don't remember your equipment... you can't get it higher? then a couple of hours of smoke then in the oven.. should be ok.. within the 40-140 4hr zone. In the over you could bump up the heat and get that skin all crispy... oh I am gonna dream about picking at the turkey skin tomorrow when no one is looking... Happy T-day BD!
