  • Tankless water heaters

My wife has been on a mission to find me a small tankless water heater to hook up to my utility sink in the garage. As I don't plan for continuous heat in the garage to protect the pipes this will work perfect. My water system will be frostless as the valve supplying the water siphons the water from the system back to prevent frozen lines. The hose will be adapted to this unit.

While she wanted to suprize me she also had to be sure this is exactly what I wanted so the cats out of the bag. Looks like it will fit the bill perfectly. This unit is powered by 220v and is considered a portable unit.

That's pretty cool... Price seems pretty good also. I have seen guys use the small 5 gallon? Electrics under their sink or next to them, but have not seen a "on-demand" like that... Copper or SS piping only?... Due to temps?

Yes, just from the unit to the sediment filter. I can just hook a common garden hose to the sediment filter. When not in use the whole system just empties into a bucket from the filter.

tankless water heaters are sweet. I just installed one in the home. the R75LSI by Rinnai http://www.rinnai.us/tankless-water-heaters/browse/
I wish I would have done it years ago. this one is gas. can run 4 showers at once and never run out of hot water. we got her set at 130 degrees and it stays at that temp with out changing.
But what was highly recomended for longevity was the easy water system which I also installed. I put the 2200 on the main coming into the house and the 3500 on the pool filter inlet http://www.easywater.com/systems.aspx
I believe this is the last year you get a big tax break on them as they both are "GREEN" . for drinking and cooking I installed a 3 gallon RO under the kitchen sink.
            you will love the tankless.
