Curently smoking some snackstix, but thought I'd throw on some frozen scallops and tiger prawns as well.

Haven't bothered with any rub or marinade, just thrown them in straight from the freezer.

Pics when I next venture out in the december rain to check on charcoal :-)

Think they had an hour or so. Turned out great.
I made a dip with some of the apple mix (apple juice, some smoked chilli powder, garlic and pepper) nce appetiser :-)

There were more than in the picture - but they didn't make it to the photo shoot
    (good with a beer too)

      Looks good CA.
I like to make kabobs with shrimp or scallops, onion, red bell pepper and button mushrooms, marinate then sprinkle with rub and smoke for an hour.

That is some good stuff....Love that shrimp....not the farm raised! Gulf of Mexico or local water.... I like it straight up like you did.

I probably cooked them too long. the smoke colour makes it tricky to see the pink lol but they were pretty tasty :-)

These were costco farmed. Best i can get.

The ones that I have smoked got a little chewy. But the flavor is good.

After enough beers there's no such thing as ugly :-)

                        Yep straight from the freezer.
were you to slap a bit of thickish sauce on them as well - be just as good as defrosted, marinated for a few hours and smoked. Just a helluva lot quicker :-)

lost me completely rich - this was one of the very few occasions I did actually use the quote button.
Most of the time, I just can't be arsed to remove all the stuff I didn't want to quote :-)

Plus I figure if you've read the thread and have more than a 3 second attention span, you'll actually be capable of recalling things you've just read.
Or am I wrong ? lol
