  • Spicy pickle recipe

This is a pickle recipe that I have gotten from a co-worker. They are good and easy to do they are worth a try, my opinion only but here ya go

    1 gallon of dill spears
    3 1/2 cups sugar
    6 gloves of garlic
6 shakes of Tabasco (more or less if you like)
    2 tbs crushed red pepper

Drain the pickles and discard the juice (or save for some Bloody Mary's) place the pickles back into the jar and add the ingredients and close the cover. Turn the jar upside down on a plate turning (from right side up to upside down) twice a day for 7 days and them place back into the fridge and enjoy.

Sounds like a tasty project. And throw some peeled hard boiled eggs in that pickle brine and spice that up a bit.

Not sure how I missed this, but I did...
they sound great.. so this is just a regular dill pickle, then you re-pack em? you don't need to boil them or water bath or anything? sounds pretty darn easy and pretty damn tastey to me!! Going on the to do list ASAP!
                  Thanks Rtom for the post!

That's a bunch of sugar. Are they sweet when they're done?
